When we've got data, we can start to search. If you're registered, you can search your databases in four modes: basic search, file search, folder search, advanced search.
Clicking mode icon, you switch into another mode.

Registered Mac OS X users can include Spotlight search with their DiskLister search. In basic search mode, check the checkbox next to Spotlight icon - icon will change from grey to color. Now when you search, Spotlight results will be attached after the results of DiskLister databases.
Before you start search, you may want to select, which databases should be searched. You can do it by clicking checkbox in the collumn with the "s" title (s = search).
Column with "d" in the title is used to mark database that we want to automaticaly load at start.
After you wrote the phrase into the search field and selected databases to search, press the ENTER (RETURN) key - all selected databases will be searched. The search results tab appears and it starts to be filled with results - you can stop it clicking the stop icon
It contains list of results - when you select one, its absolute path appears in top field. When you double click it and the target destination is available and it's not folder/directory, the file is opened. If you hold down the ALT (OPTION) key when double clicking selected item, it will be listed in the Operating System (OS).
You can also try right click on selected item, to try to open found item in browse tab.
